BPD Investigating Early Morning Shooting Incident near 2nd and Cherokee

At approximately 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, officers with the Bartlesville Police Department responded to the area of 2nd Street and Cherokee Avenue following a report of a gunshot.

According to Assistan Police Chief Andrew Ward, officers found the scene clear of any involved individuals. No victims or suspects were located, and at this time, no injuries have been reported.

According to witness statements, an argument occurred between a male and a female at the location. Witnesses reported that as the female began walking away from the male, a gunshot was heard.
