Shidler Nutrition Site Gets Slight Funding Increase

During last week's Osage County Commissioners meeting, Kim Mitchell, who takes care of the senior citizens center in Shidler, requested an additional $200 a month so that she could better fund that site. Osage County Nutrition Director Jeanie Howerton believed that increased funding wasn't needed because of the lack of people the Shidler site serves.
At that meeting, the Board said it needed to take a week to look at the information so that they could make an informed decision on what the best decision would be. Here is what Chairman of the Board Charlie Cartwright felt would be best on Monday.
Also at Monday's meeting, agreements were signed so that meals will be delivered to their respective sites in Barnsdall, Skiatook and Fairfax during the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
