Scott Sapulpa Named New Football Coach at Dewey

Dewey High School has named Scott Sapulpa as the new head football coach, according to an annoucement made by the school on Monday.
 
Sapulpa was brought on this season as the defensive coordinator, with coaching experience in Pawhuska, Hulbert, Gore, Muskogee and Okay. Sapulpa takes over after the departure of former head coach Ryan Richardson last week.
 
Dewey High School Athletic Director Travis Ruble said Sapulpa is a leader.
 
The Bulldoggers return a handful of players for the 2025 campaign after going 2-8 last season.
 
Ruble said the future of Bulldogger football is in good hands.
 
Dewey opens against Locust Grove on Aug. 29 in Dewey. Select Bulldogger games will air on 104.9 FM - KRIG, and KRIGTV.com.
