Art Walk Returns

Downtown Bartlesville will once again transform into a giant scavenger hunt for paintings, sculptures, and people pretending they totally understand abstract art when “Artful Day in the Ville” returns on Friday, April 17. The Bartlesville Art Association’s popular Art Walk event will run from 6 to 9 p.m. throughout downtown, giving residents the chance to wander through pop-up galleries and local businesses without having to explain why there is suddenly a giant metal chicken welded to a park bench.

Organizers are encouraging families, couples, and anyone looking for something more cultured than another Friday night scrolling through streaming apps to come out and explore the downtown area. The event will feature pop-up art displays spread across multiple locations, giving visitors a chance to support local artists while also getting their daily steps in, because apparently art appreciation now doubles as cardio.

The Bartlesville Art Association says the event is meant to celebrate creativity and bring more people into the downtown area. So whether you are genuinely passionate about the arts or just looking for a socially acceptable excuse to wear a scarf in April and nod thoughtfully at a canvas full of random colors, Art Walk has you covered.
