Bruin Football Hosts Sand Springs

At Bartlesville High, the Bruins schedule doesn’t ease up. After playing three of the top 5A programs to begin the year, BHS probably has the District favorite to open its season.

Sand Springs visits Custer Stadium on Friday night.

The Bruins continue to impress on offense, as sophomore quarterback Michael Kent has been stellar to begin the season. Kent had 450 yards of total offense on Friday in a loss against Collinsville.

BHS has a long history against Sand Springs. The two schools have met every year since 2000.

Head coach Harry Wright talks about the matchup.

The matchup will be particularly tough on the Bruin defense. Sand Springs is led by Texas State commit Easton Webb at quarterback. Webb is a senior and is also an outstanding pitcher on the baseball diamond. At 6-4 and 215 points, he can move well, too.

Wright talks about the challenge of slowing down the Sandites on offense.

A 6:30 pregame with a 7:00 kick for the Bruin’s District opener against Sand Springs. We will have that game for you on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1.

Video coverage will be available on Friday night on KWONTV.com.
