Dewey Bulldoggers football officially began practice earlier this week, as Dewey will look to make some noise this season under new head coach Scott Sapulpa.

Sapulpa was officially promoted to the head coaching role in June, after starting out his first season in Dewey as the defensive coordinator. Sapulpa takes the place of former head coach Ryan Richardson, who resigned as head coach in early June.

Throughout the offseason, Dewey has seen lots of gains in the weight room. Sapulpa talked about another part where the Bulldoggers have seen lots of growth.

Dewey is set to open against Locust Grove at home in the first game of the Sapulpa era on Aug. 29.

Sapulpa said his guys are ready to kick things off.

Dewey's game against Locust Grove can be heard on 104.9 FM - KRIG, with video coverage on KRIGTV.com.
