OKU Baseball Faces Colbert to Open State Tournament

Oklahoma Union baseball is headed to the 2A-II state tournament for the first time in school history on Thursday in Shawnee.
 
It's been a year of firsts for this OKU squad, aside from reaching the state tournament for the first time ever, this year was also their first time hosting a regional.
 
Head coach Aaron Funkhouser said his group has bought in to the culture.
 
The Cougars will take on Colbert in round one on Thursday. Colbert enters with a record of 27-8 and are winners of 16 in a row. Funkhouser says it's a great matchup.
 
First pitch on Thursday is set for 4 p.m. from Shawnee High School.
